Winter Park Flyfisher is open for business, but is asking customers and clients to practice social distancing protocols. The fly fishing shop, located in Fraser, CO, offers everything you need for a successful fishing trip - and they even offer guided fishing trips!

Owner Jeff Ehlert told The Colorado Adventure that this year's snow pack is great, "and we are expecting an excellent fishing season."

During the Safer At Home phase in Colorado, Winter Park Flyfisher is open on a restricted basis. You may call the store at 970-726-5231 or stop by to request a private shopping session, or they can put the supplies you need together and you can do a drive-by pick-up. "We do request that you follow social distancing protocols," Ehlert said, "using the hand sanitizer we provide upon entrance to the shop, keeping a six foot distance, and wearing a mask if possible; and we will do the same."

Guided trips are available. The shop's guides are healthy and respect social distancing protocols. Clients and guides drive separately to and from the river; but that's about the only modification they've made to the guide trips.

Winter Park Flyfisher is Colorado's premiere fishing supply outlet. They are a year-round, full-service fly shop offering top-quality flies, fishing gear, outerwear and accessories. The shop is conveniently located and is the perfect place to pick up everything you need, from gear to guides, to access the rich natural bounty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Jeff and his team of guides offer trips to most rivers and streams in Grand County, Colorado. The county hosts a wealth of waterways. If you are looking for enthralling places to try your hand at alpine fishing, there's no better place than in the scenic High Rockies of Colorado. Rivers include:

1) Fraser River. The majority of the Fraser River borders private land, meaning that this waterway is explored most effectively on a guided tour with Winter Park Flyfisher. Public access is possible, however, at the Fraser River Canyon near Tabernath. The Fraser River also flows near Winter Park.

2) Colorado River. Strong, stunning and scenic, the Colorado River has shaped and carved the landscape of the Rocky Mountains and the American Southwest for millennia. Some of the nation’s finest fishing is along both public and private areas of the Colorado River near Fraser.

3) Williams Fork. A tributary of the Colorado River, the Williams Fork offers fine fishing in its own right. The Williams Fork is split by a dam – both the upper and lower sections offer unique fishing experiences. Be sure to check water levels and conditions, however, because the Williams Fork can change rapidly throughout the year.

4) North Platte River. The North Platte River boasts some of the region’s best places to catch a great fish. Grey Reef is a particularly lucrative spot to float fish. Jeff's Grey Reef fishing trips are extremely popular during the summer season – be sure to book your North Platte expedition today!
